Applause for thought CIC in partnership with Crystal Nicholls Coaching are thrilled to announce the launch of The Performing Arts Well-being Curriculum (TWC).

“We spend so much time working on our craft (and rightly so) preparing for the demands of the industry. But we feel passionate about the fact that our minds and well-being also deserve adequate training and space for growth.

Applause for thought’s mantra is Education Equals Prevention. Centred around facilitating preventative, supportive and proactive opportunities in the performing arts industry. TWC embodies that ethos and mission, and after much preparation, we are now ready.

TWC is designed to support the holistic well-being of students by getting regular well-being education on the curriculum to compliment and bolster their vocational studies. The programme is structured in three phases, delivered over six weeks, each school term. Each phase focuses on critical aspects of health and well-being, tailored to the specific needs of students at different stages of their training. We hope this programme will support the students to build toward long lasting sustainable careers, give them a safe space to develop and explore themselves as individuals, and have a positive impact on faculty members and the training establishment as a whole.”

Raffaella Covino – Founder and Director of Applause for thought & Crystal Nicholls - Well-being Coach and Facilitator of TWC.

“Laine Theatre Arts is proud to be the first institution of its kind to collaborate with Applause for Thought in delivering a tailored curriculum aimed at supporting student well-being, health, and resilience specific to the performing arts context. Through a progressive series of lectures spanning the first two years of their study, graduates will be better equipped to navigate the rigorous demands of the industry with confidence and strength.”
